Chinese celadon glazed and incised jar ming dynasty, probably early 16th century
The short unglazed rim possibly ground down or lacking cover, overall of baluster form, the shoulder well incised to show a petal or foliate band, the body incised to show peony issuing scrolling leaves enclosed by another foliate band, unglazed orange-brown buff base, raised on a circular foot.
