Lot Description

Large and Impressive exhibited Chinese hongmu alter table 18th century

Long rectangular four plank framed top terminating in two small ribbon scrolled flanges, over plain beaded apron to short ends and finely carved apron and spandrels to long sides, carved in low relief to show coiled dragons, lingzhi head, and angular qilong, raised on straight beaded legs joined by a lingzhi shaped panel carved in low relief to show Fu bats, and various buddistic symbols, terminating in bracket feet.
