Lot Description

Chinese wood and tortoiseshell insert double gourd form vase qing dynasty

The flared mouth issues from a the first of two circular bodies both carved in medium relief to show Indian lotus flowers issuing leaves, the largest body frames two oval open work tortoiseshell plaques, with semi-articulated birds to a foliate ground, raised on a circular foot.
