This lot is accompanied by copies of three photos of Ralph Broas' barbershop, one circa 1910 and two circa 1940 showing this barber pole outside of the shop. Mr. Broas is listed in the 1910 census as a barber in Montgomery Village, New York and in 1940 as a barbershop proprietor.
