Exceptional Japanese ivory grouping 19th century, possibly signed mitsu noba to base
Very finely carved to show a huntsman with attendant, eagle, inro and basket to back being ascended by five monkeys and in the motion of throwing another from his body, standing over a base carved with logs, basket of fruit and root work.
