With shogun chest, possibly depicting the tale of Genji, of baluster form, heavily gilded body, the slightly bulbous mouth leads to a pair of applied bird-form handles, the neck is painted with a patchwork of gold, red, blue and brown leading to a body finely painted to show a phoenix in flight above a detailed landscape and figures to one side and a winter landscape and figures in reverse, roman key border to base.
