Large and impressive Chinese foliate-rimmed blue and white bowl. kangxi lingzhi mark in double blue circles and of the period
Molded around a deep U-shaped body, the interior is incised to show sixteen lotus petals, the interior rim is paneled with a blue border of floral sprays, the interior medallion shows a very finely painted peony enclosed by double blue rings, the exterior is equally well-painted to show petal-shaped panels of peony and lotus flowers, over a short circular foot.
