one with stitched text Amour Filial and ink inscription Pension Larmande, Aout 1822, Thérèse Buffardin.
12 1/2 x 11 7/8 inches (larger).
Genealogical records confirm that a Thérèse Julie Buffardin was born in Gard, France to Antoine Nicolas Buffardin and Pohini Rosalie Crémier. She wed Jean Michel Tarbagayre on September 15, 1839, in Pont-Saint-Esprit, and the couple had one son Jean Emile Félix Tarbagayre, born in 1840. Thérèse died on May 31, 1848 in Avignon.
