Molded commemorative stoneware "Ellsworth" pitcher millington, astbury and poulson, trenton, new jersey , circa 1861
Of baluster form with spurred handle, molded in relief on one side with figures in civilian and military dress with rifles on a stairway, some identified, "Col. Ellsworth" and "E.E. Brownell" bayonetting "J.W. Jackson-the Traitor," the other side impressed with inscription "Union And The Constitution" and molded with eagle with snake in beak, above a fallen Confederate flag, with a grouping of rifles and an American Flag to the right.
