Writing upon his reunion with his children after his release from Federal prison, Davis expresses his gratitude to Mr. & Mrs. Charles O'Conor & reports on his happy reunion with his children.
The recipient's husband, Charles O'Conor (1804-1884), was a prominent American lawyer, senior counsel for Jefferson Davis on his indictment for treason, he ran in the U.S. Presidential election of 1872.
