Folio (18 3/8 x 12 1/2 inches), original full navy blue morocco, triple gilt fillet paneled covers, triple gilt fillet ruled & gilt lettered spines, a.e.g., richly gilt brown & navy blue morocco doublures, the central panel of each front doublure set with a color gouache painting from a corresponding plate in each vol., silked patterned free endpapers, raised bands; 1 back joint expertly repaired, 1 raised band rubbed, but a bright, attractive bdg. by Barrie. With approx. 200 photogravure plates (incl. color gravures) in each vol., over 2000 plates altogether. Internally clean.
