The rectangular box with sliding lid painted yellow and decorated with red, green and black; the sides with profile tulips within a sawtooth border , the top inscribed "Eliza Hoch Anno 1821" and leaves and pinwheel-flower within a sawtooth border. Note: This box shows many similarities to a box made by Drissell for "W. Funct" in 1795 in the collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, illustrated in Pennsylvania German Arts (2001) Irwan Richman, p.55.
