Philadelphia, [ca. 1852]. 17 5/8 x 25 1/4 inches; 447 x 640 mm - image size; 19 3/4 x 25 3/4 inches; 501 x 654 mm - sheet size. Repaired & mounted to heavy 20th-century paper sheet, some dampstaining & negligible areas of loss to image in bottom portion.
"...This was a Philadelphia club founded in 1809. The clubhouse was located on the New Jersey shore [of the Delaware] about two miles above Camden. It was remodeled, as shown..., in 1834.... While not properly a part of Philadelphia's iconography, the print is... considered to be [the Philadelphia lithographer] Duval's best..."
