Typed Letter Signed. Keen, [Dr.] W(illiam) W(illiams). Philadelphia, Feb. 17, 1898. 2 pp., 4to. With 3 line manuscript postscript. To his daughter Margaret Keen. Affectionate family correspondence in which Dr. Keen also reports on his own activities, "... we are very busily at work on our plans for a new college building, which will be put up at the corner of 10th and Walnut and the new hospital at the corner of 10th and Sansom, but we have got to hustle a good deal to get the money together..."
Keen, William Williams (1837-1932), surgeon, M.D., professor of surgery at Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, 1889-1907; said to have performed the first (1887) successful brain tumor operation in the U.S.
