FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE OF TAN’S FIRST NOVEL, in FIRST ISSUE DUST JACKET with the “$18.95” price and the “$26.50” Canadian price beneath, and the back flap lists publisher’s address as “200 Madison Avenue.” SIGNED BY TAN on the title-page. The Joy Luck Club revolves around 4 Chinese migrant families in San Francisco who start a mahjong club and was adapted to film in 1993.
