Lot Description
ROTH, Philip (1933-2018). Portnoy’s Complaint. New York: Random House, 1969.
8vo. Original cloth; publisher’s dust jacket (spine sunned, some rubbing and creasing).
FIRST EDITION, in later printing dust jacket. Portnoy’s Complaint attracted a great deal of criticism and was even banned in many libraries across the United States for its explicit language; it was later adapted into a 1972 motion picture of the same name starring Richard Benjamin.
