Decorated with two figural reserves, one depicting Ariadne and Dionysus, the other with a pair of lovers, on a cobalt blue ground with gilt enhancements and two ribbon tied, C-scroll handles, the reverse with blue entwined double 'L' mark over the initials G - D and bearing impressed mark 83A.
