[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 32 sixth plate and quarter plate daguerreotypes of siblings, mostly sisters.
Sixth plate seated portrait of two young girls wearing the same floral printed dress, one having her hair in braids and ribbons, the other in curled locks. They both hold what appear to be miniature books or cased images in their laps. (Tarnishing along edges, some spotting, otherwise very clear image; resealed.) housed in a Union case (soiling). -- Sixth plate portrait of two sisters wearing matching dresses and holding small decorative baskets in their laps. They both look somewhat apprehensive. (Tarnishing to edges, significant spotting throughout plate and mat; resealed.) Housed in a fully separated pressed paper case (split at spine, surface wear). -- Sixth plate standing portrait of a pair of sisters wearing matching checkered dresses and standing at either side of a table draped in a blue-and-red-tinted cloth. (Heavy tarnishing surrounding subjects, spotting; original seals.) Housed in a pressed paper case (surface wear). -- 29 others, including 3 quarter plate examples and 26 sixth plate examples. Conditions vary. Housings vary. -- Together, 32 daguerreotype portraits of pairs of siblings, mostly sisters.
