WILLARD, photographer. Seated portrait of a young woman wearing a lovely bonnet and lace collar. (Tarnishing to edges, occasional spotting, some scratching to left side, spotting to mat; unsealed.) Housed in a pressed paper case (significant wear and loss throughout). -- Seated portrait of a lovely young lady wearing a hand-tinted striped dress and choker necklace. Her hair is braided and pinned up. (Tarnishing to edges, significant spotting throughout, oxidation to mat, no preserver present; original seals.) Housed in a figural Union case. -- Seated portrait of a rather young girl wearing a floral printed dress, appearing to hold something in her lap with one hand and resting her other elbow on the table next to her, which is also surmounted with books. (Tarnishing to edges, spotting and clouding to image and glass cover; original seals.) Housed in a half pressed paper case (wear throughout). -- And 25 others. Conditions vary. Most housed in fully separated cases, some housed in half cases, one housed under mat, glass, and preserver only. -- Together, 28 sixth plate daguerreotype portraits of lovely young women.
