Lot Description
[GARFIELD, James A. (1831-1881)]. CDV of James A. Garfield as Brigadier General. N.p., ca 1862-1863.
2 3/16 x 3 3/16 in. CDV on cardstock mount (spotting to image, mount with some discoloration and bottom corners clipped). Verso bears period ink identification, "Brig Gen Garfield," along with modern pencil inscriptions. Garfield is posed looking off-camera, wearing his brigadier general's frock coat and shoulder boards.
