Cuvette engraved with maker's marks and presentation: "Woodrow Wilson / President U.S.A. / To / Wilbur Cherry / Distinguished Honor / 1916-17-18." Diminutive hand-colored American flag, approx. 1 1/8 x 1 1/8 in. (corners clipped) housed in watch case. 

The Wilbur Cherry for whom the watch was engraved is uncertain. It is likely that the watch was an award or gift of recognition for some kind of service or position held from 1916-1918.
