(Exceptional clarity, few areas of interrupted lacquer visible through dark spots in image; fabric seal remains affixed to lacquer on back of plate.) Housed in a fully separated painted case with mother-of-pearl inlay (split at spine, crackling to cover, surface wear throughout). Period ink inscription on paper label affixed to image verso reads, "Cassie V Tomlinson Ellis, Phillips on the right before marrage [sic]."
