Chinese gilt bronze figure of Guanyin seated on a recumbent elephant 19th century
The figure shown dressed in long robes the feet set on two lotus plinths, holding a scroll, the face with a meditative expression below a foliate crown, the long hair falling over the shoulders, the elephant with the head lowered, a lotus bud appearing from his trunk, all on a double lotus base.Footnote: Purchased from Dalva, New York.
