Lot Description

Fine American Aesthetic carved walnut marquetry, parcel gilt & bronze mounted center table attributed to herter brothers, new york, circa 1880

The shaped alabaster top centered by a later porcelain plaque with classical figures and cherubs, over a foliate scroll frieze, raised on four leaf carved and anthemion inlaid turned and fluted legs, united by an alabaster inset fret carved under tier, flanked by two acanthus carved scroll supports, surmounted by cherub mask gilt bronze mounts, terminating in conforming turned feet with countersunk casters. H: 33 1/2, W: 39, D: 26 in.
