Louis XVI style kingwood and rosewood banded bonhuer du jour late 19th century
The upper section with a brass banded inset marble top and a three-quarter pierced brass gallery, above simulated tambour doors opening to reveal a void interior and two small drawers flanking a cubby hole concealing a hidden compartment, the lower section with a hinged quarter-veneered top, opening to reveal an inset leather writing surface over two real and one dummy short drawers and one long drawer, on cabriole legs joined by a shaped apron, terminating in sabots.
