8vo. 5 color plates. Original half tan cloth, pictorial paper-covered boards (rubbing along edges). Provenance: Waldman Brothers (bookseller's stamp).

FIRST EDITION. Hopalong Cassidy was the third of Mulford's novels to feature the titular character, and features illustrations by western painter Maynard Dixon. Mulford's stories would later be adapted into a series of films produced between 1935-1948 and starring William Boyd as Hopalong Cassidy.
