Garrett, Mary Elizabeth (1854-1915). Baltimore born philanthropist, active in the cause of higher education for women. Influenced the National American Woman Suffrage Association to hold its 1906 convention in Baltimore, provided hospitality for Susan B. Anthony & other delegates.
