Lot Description

A George III assembled tea and coffee service London 1798 and later dates, maker Robert Salmon and others

Oblong fluted urn design, pots fitted with pearwood handles and finials, bright cut decoration with engraved floral and leaf mid-bands, the sugar baskets and creamer with vermeil interiors. Comprising a tea pot with ebonized handle, covered sugar box with lock and urn finial, two graduated open sugar baskets with swing handles, a large coffee pot, London 1802, maker probably Joseph Hardy, a teapot stand, London 1791, maker probably Henry Chauner and a sterling silver hot water kettle on stand with burner, sold by J.E. Caldwell & Co. (Also includes a large mahogany custom storage chest).
