A Rare and Finely Carved Chinese White Jade Covered Vase
白玉刻西番蓮紋大抱月瓶
exquisitely carved in relief to each side of the flattened vase with eight petals enclosing the bajixiang radiating from a central shou medallion, the waisted neck flanked by a pair of s-shaped handles, the domed cover surmounted by a knop finial in the form of a floral blossom, the stone of a well-polished even white tone.
