A Chinese Incised Celadon Ground Underglaze Blue 'Dragon' Rouleau Vase
Early 20th Century
民國 青釉暗刻雲紋地青花龍紋棒槌瓶
having steep walls rising some a tapered foot to angular shoulders beneath angled shoulders and straight neck. The body defly painted in underglaze blue with a serpentine dragon writhing across a pale celadon ground of incised scallop waves; the underside bearing a double ring to the recessed base.
Height 17 1/4 in., 43.8 cm.
