Late 18th/19th Century
清中期 灰瑪瑙巧雕馬上封侯鼻烟壺
of rounded square form with compressed sides, the smoky toned stone carved through the inky skin at a thumb-shaped impression to show a monkey atop a horse; lapis mounted coral stopper.
Height of bottle 2 1/4 in., 5.8 cm.
