A Nepalese Parcel Gilt Bronze Figure of Vajrasattva
17th Century
十七世紀 尼泊爾銅鎏金金剛薩埵
the bodhisattva of purification holding a vajra in one hand, and a bell in the other, all the while seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base, the face with downcast eyes and gentle smile while the ears support large pendant earrings, the head with a pointed tiara covering a tall chignon.
Height 6 1/2 in., 16.5 cm.
