A Tibetan Parcel Gilt Bronze Figure of a Seated Lama
16th Century
十六世紀 藏傳佛教銅局部鎏金喇嘛像
seated in a meditative pose on a double lotus plinth, the right hand in the gesture of teaching while the left holds a manuscript page, the monastic robes with floral designs along the borders while his shoulders support two large branches of lotus, the face bearded and with gentle expression while wearing a monk's cap.
Height 5 1/2 in., 14 cm.
