A Tibetan Silk Patchwork Offering Cloth and A Tibetan Rug
Cloth: late 18th Century

十八世紀 藏毯及藏式百納被一條
each of square shape, the cloth worked of various triangular sample tessellated into a repeating ground, the whole surrounded by a blue ground,  the rug woven with a tight pile to depict a central section implying tiger skin surrounded by yellow, red, and blue borders.
The patchwork: 25 1/2 x 25 1/4 in., 64.8 x 64.1 cm.
