Two Chinese Famille Rose 'Insects' Porcelain Wares 
Early 20th Century

民國 劉雨岑(1904-1969)繪粉彩草蟲紋蒜頭瓶及印泥盒
the first a porcelain ink-paste box and cover, skillfully painted in famille rose with insects climbing on the flower branches on the milk-white and very delicate ground; the second a garlic head vase, a bottle with a pear-shaped body, and slender neck swelling into six-lobed bulb below the lip, painted by Liu Yucen (1904-1969) with a branch of flowering sweet pea pods and a large green cricket climbing on the stalk in famille rose.
Height of taller 6 1/4 in., 16 cm.
