American school 19th century two civil war sketches

Pencil, water color on paper, framed . The first signed, Henry Mosler (1841-1920) and inscribed "Assassination of Maj. Gen . Nelson," the second inscribed on back "Gen. Butlers Bivouac at the Junction of the Vanina and Newmarket Roads the night after the Battle... if it is thought advisable the figure of Gen. Butler can be made larger & a staff officer or so introduced . increasing the accessories at the same tile of course, The flags shown are rebel battle flags." The sketch is accompanied by a Harper's Weekly October 22 , 1864, showing General Butler, with the embellishments suggested by artist .
