Sevres-style porcelain and gilt-bronze mounted covered vase late 19th c.
The domed lid with a berry finial, the ovoid sides with twin scroll handles, painted with a romantic scene of lovers, the reverse painted with a riverside landscape, on a white ground painted with flower sprays and enhanced with gilt, on a socle base. H: 19 1/2 in.
