UNUSUAL GEORGE III MAHOGANY & INLAID SECRETAIRE BOOKCASE

The cavetto-molded cornice over two shaped beveled mirror panel doors, inlaid with chevron banding and sunburst spandrels, opening to reveal shelves, the lower section with a conformingly inlaid fall enclosing a fitted interior with small drawers, pigeonholes, secret compartments and a later leather writing surface, below are two paneled doors enclosing an arrangement of four short and two long drawers, raised on bracket feet.
