Lot Description

Pair of unusual Paris porcelain vases late 19th c.

The flare form white ground vases decorated with gilt scrolls, centered by inset cartouches painted with mountainous riverside landscapes, one applied with a bisque figure of a female in fanciful costume collecting eggs with a dog and sheep at her feet, the other of a man in conforming costume with a goat at his feet, raised on rococo scroll bases. H: 16 1/2 in.
