Cylindrical form, glazed upper section with a molded lid opens to a fitted interior, molded waist and base, shaped handles at sides and four arched feet. H. 53 3/4 in. D. 13 1/2 in.Note: Simons Bro. & Co. was founded in 1840 by George W. Simons and his three sons. They began making silver thimbles and pencils and gradually expanded production to tea services, flatware, comb tops, cane and umbrella heads.
