Cover stamped for London 1833, engraved with a coat of arms inscribed "RODESSE ET DELECTARE SIMUL," the cup finely chased and embossed with flowers and foliage, with twin naturalistic scroll handles, surmounted by a later associated finial depicting Shakespeare and raised on a lobed spreading circular foot, date letter rubbed on finial, makers mark M.R.S. H: 19 1/2 in., 138 oz.
