By Gouverneur, the molded rectangular marble top over two long drawers, veneered with lattice parquetry panels and applied with elaborately cast gilt bronze floral garlands. The hipped legs surmounted by lions' pelts, ending in massive paw feet, the apron applied with foliate scrolls and centered by Bacchic and angel masks, the lock plate signed, "Gouverneur Fabricant, 68 Rue Street, Paris."
