Visible 13 1/8 x 16 1/8 in. (abrasion to Grant's temple, occasional spotting/residue); framed to 18 7/8 x 22 in. (not examined out of frame; one screw holding art wire loose). Canvas backing stamped with copyright statement for E.C. Middleton, Cincinnati, 1864. Frame verso with partial paper label affixed being a statement from the Grant family to E.C. Middleton.
