Lot Description
[CUSTER, George Armstrong (1839-1876)]. CDV engraving of General Custer.
2 1/4 x 3 3/4 in. CDV on cardstock mount (light soiling to print, some wear to mount edges and corners, paper loss and tape to verso). Identified in ink beneath portrait, "Custer." Verso inscribed, "J.A. Bollis[?] Card Album vol. 2. p. 27. Keep & return to J.A.B. July 8, 1876. 'De mortius nil misi bonum.'" "Henry Y. Porter" ink stamp also to verso.
