Lot Description

[NATIVE AMERICANS]. [SHINDLER, Antonio Zeno (1823-1899), photographer]. War Dance of the Yankton Sioux. Washington, DC, 1867.


5 1/4 x 7 1/4 in. image on 11 x 14 in. cardstock mount (toning to print, few small chips at edges; toning and some light soiling to mount). Although the image lacks a studio imprint, it was originally taken by A. Zeno Schindler between 17 February and 8 April 1867, in Washington, DC.
