8vo. Steel-engraved frontispiece and plates; 14pp. publisher's advertisements at end. (Some spotting and dampstaing.) Original pictorial printed wrappers (some chipping and minor losses, 1-in. portion of lower corner of upper wrapper torn away).
Provenance: Franklin Schley (signatures on title-page and a few plates and leaves).
FIRST EDITION, the issue with 80 pages including advertisements [no priority, according to Howes]. Howes T-315; Sabin 6388. [Laid-in:] Contemporary "Notice to Water-Renters," announcing that water will be shut off from 4:00pm Monday September 17th 1866 until 5:30am Tuesday September 18th 1866, signed (in type) by John Ebert, Water Superintendent.
