Lot Description
Chanel Lace Jacket, 2001
After four decades at Chanel, Lagerfeld earned a legacy as a creative force that reinvigorated the heritage label, infusing it with postmodern playfulness while honoring its roots. Equally versed in the languages of popular culture and the craft and traditions of couture, a combination described as ‘high fashion and high camp’, Lagerfeld’s reinvention of the brand and marketing savvy created a voracious appetite among young buyers, sealing the fate of the iconic double CC logo into this century’s visual lexicon.
Polyester-blend quilted black lace jacket with a fold down collar edged with scalloped lace, 3/4-length sleeves with a scalloped lace hem, and a center front hooks and eyes closure. The hem of the jacket has a pull cord for gathering. Next to the hem of the jacket is a CC logo in black metal.
