Lot Description

Alexander McQueen Dress, 2005

This dress is from the Alexander McQueen fall 2005 collection: The Man Who Knew Too Much. The entire collection was an updated Y2K version of "Hitchcockian dishevelment and drama". The dress is draped in several small, delicate layered pleats of shear printed silk. The internal corset supports the dress and holds up the budding cups with perpendicular rouching. The effect is subtle but hints at the undergarments in a flirtation with what lies beneath.

Brown and tan spotted animal print chiffon dress with horizontal tucks and frayed self-fabric trim. The dress is cut with thin shoulder straps, a boned bodice, thin brown ribbon around the bust, and center back zipper.
