[Austria], [ca. 1800]. 6 sheets of printed prayers, each approx. 2 1/2 x 12 inches; 63 x 304 mm, glued to form one long strip.
This amulet was to be carried by individuals or kept in dwellings as protection from physical and spiritual dangers. It could also be applied to the bodies of the sick in folk healing rituals.
