The painted arched dial with a gilt chapter ring and two subsidiary dials, the spandrels painted to depict the four seasons, surmounted by a farmer ploughing with horses, the 8-day movement with anchor escapement and striking on a bell, the case with fluted quarter columns, raised on a later plinth base.
